Water delivered through the Standpipe or a Fire Hydrant Meter is delivered as non-potable water and may not be used for Human Consumption or washing purposes. The water is for commercial or industrial use only 2. The customer shall comply with the City of Yerington Cross connection Control Program. The EPA and NDEP -BSDW mandated program prevents cross contamination. 3. The Bulk Water customer is not allowed to sell or distribute water from the standpipe or hydrant as potable water. Violation of this rule will terminate your access to the standpipe or hydrant 4. Use of a Fire Hydrant shall never interfere with use by the Fire Department during any emergency situation. 5. Fire Hydrants must be shut down during when freezing temperatures are expected. The Hydrant must be shut down and drained, with hoses disconnected to prevent damage. All damages are the responsibility of the user. 6. The City reserves the right to curtail sale and use of Bulk Water at any time for any reason without notice 7. Applications must be reviewed and approved by the City prior to any use by the customer. Fees must be paid prior to use by the customer 8. Cash deposits are required for use of any City owned equipment. 9. Cash Deposits, Applications & Rental Equipment Transactions must be completed at Yerington City Hall during regular business hours. 10. Fire Hydrants may only be operated with a Fire Hydrant Wrench. Customer is responsible for all damage to Fire Hydrant. Use of a pipe wrench or any other tool is never allowed 11. Fire Hydrant wrenches are available for rent from the City 12. Fire Hydrant Meters are required for Bulk Water Purchases from the City. They are read and billed accordingly. A deposit and Usage fee is required for the Meter. 13. Fire Hydrant meters are provided in workable condition with a gate valve to be used for daily use. Hydrants should only be opened and closed when starting and closing for the day and must be returned in the same condition. Any damages will be deducted from the Deposit. All hoses shall be supplied by the User.
