DR 23-06 3rd Street Quadplex (1123 & 1125 N. 3rd Street): Design Review application for a quadplex residential building. The applicant also included an Architectural Standard Substitution request to substitute two architectural design features, a Street Adjustment request to modify the applicable street cross-section for the future Yew Street extension, and two Variance requests related to driveway width and location. (DR 23-06, RSS 23-01, SA 23-03, & VAR 23-03) b. DR 22-17 Holiday Inn Express addition/remodel (120 Arney Rd): Design Review and Street Adjustment (SA) applications to add to and remodel the La Quinta Inn & Suites by into a Holiday Inn Express with net total 84 rooms on 1.77 acres zoned Commercial General (CG) at the southeast corner of the I-5 southbound off-ramp and OR Hwy 219. SA request is to keep as is the Arney landscape strip that is 6 inches too narrow. Recommended conditions of approval include additional street trees. (DR 22-26 & VAR 22-15) c. LA 21-03 Tree preservation and removal: Legislative amendment of the WDO to clarify and strengthen tree preservation standards related to both existing and new land developments. The last Commission meeting about the topic was July 27, 2023.
