WOODBURN PUBLIC ARTS AND MURALS COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES FROM THE JUNE 15, 2018 MEETING Attendees: Sharon Schaub, Sharon Corning, Colleen Vancil, Judy Massaia, Christine Lopez, Merri Berlin Absent: Phil Scott, Frank Lonergan, Brenda Valentino-Bravo Staff: Chris Kerr, Jamie Johnk, McKenzie Granum, Helen Koshkaroff Guest Speaker: Mary Kirby • Committee Members o Introductions • Public Arts and Mural Project Planning: • Plaza Fountain Art Project: • Ms. Kirby shared concept ideas with PAMC. o Dancing Girl near stage & on top of fountain o Dog and Boy near fountain o London Bridges with Girl/Boy and Dog o Bronze tile around fountain • PAMC discussed options and would like to see a mock up with the London Bridge girl/boy and a Bull Dog near the fountain from Mary Kirby. o Water Tower Project: • Staff has colors applied to photo in order to provide a visual. Staff presented design concepts for the vinyl art application. PAMC provided feedback on concepts, which staff will work with Yes Graphics on incorporating – design ideas with tower colors were sent on June 15th. • First Street Improvements Project: o Staff shared the 1st Street design concepts and asked the PAMC to consider providing input on stamped concrete design for the crosswalks at Hayes and Garfield Street. o PAMC suggested a third street corner design, circles were the favored design. • First Street Improvements Project: o Staff shared the Peace Pole project to be placed in the rose garden in front of City Hall. • PAMC thought the idea was good and will discuss at the next meeting. • Next Meeting: o Wednesday – July 18th, 2018 @ 10:00 a.m. Woodburn City Hall, Large Conference Room
