I have interviewed four candidates in January; three are moving on to take the lifeguard class. The last class was February 10-12.  We are focusing on fitness each month this fall. January’s was focus is the therapeutic rec programs. February will continue with all adult fitness programs.  We have been researching the cost of admission and classes at the aquatics center. I have submitted a proposed change in drop-in fees. With the cost of labor and materials increasing, I asked for an approximately 10% increase for city residents. It is not exactly equal, some prices are adjusted to meet other goals.  We are maintaining our outreach to people who have a senior fitness program (Silver & Fit, etc). Currently we have 292 people active in the program. This is about 10% more than last year.  The youth swim team is continuing to gain skills, but the numbers have not increased.
