Library Rules Approved July 2016 by the Public Library Board Woodburn Public Library Rules Welcome! The Library is a quiet community space that exists to facilitate literacy, lifelong learning, Internet access, and cultural participation. The Library works best when all users are mindful of the following: As you enter the Library, please: • Consume any food(s) before entering. Limit beverages to those in bottles or containers with secure lids. • Silence cell phones and other electronic devices. • Leave skateboards, scooters, and bicycles outside. Locks are available for check out, with a library card, at the circulation desk. • A responsible caretaker must accompany children under ten years of age at all times. Children left at the Library may be entrusted to the safekeeping of the Woodburn Police Department. While using the library, please: • Speak in a quiet voice. Limit cell phone use to brief, quiet conversations on the first floor only. • Walk; don’t run. • Keep aisles, stairways and emergency exits free from obstruction. • Reserve the elevator for adults or people with disabilities. • Demonstrate reasonable conduct consistent with the purpose of the Library. No loud, disorderly, threatening or harassing conduct. No obscene, abusive or vulgar language toward patrons or staff. • Cooperate with library employees. Persons interfering with the normal use of the library will be asked to leave. • Maintain possession of personal belongings at all times. Unattended bags, parcels and backpacks will be turned over to the Woodburn Police Department. Please be advised: • Misuse or defacing of library materials, equipment or facilities is illegal. • Solicitation or sale of products or services is prohibited. • Only service animals are permitted in the Library. • State law prohibits smoking in public facilities or within 10 feet of entrances. • Possession or use of illegal drugs and alcohol is prohibited on City property. ---PAGE BREAK--- Library Rules Approved July 2016 by the Public Library Board Reglas de la Biblioteca Pública de Woodburn ¡Bienvenidos! La Biblioteca es un espacio comunitario tranquilo que existe para facilitar la alfabetización, el aprendizaje de por vida, el acceso a Internet y la participación cultural. La Biblioteca funciona mejor cuando todos los usuarios son conscientes de lo siguiente: Cuando usted entre a la biblioteca, favor de: Consumir sus alimentos antes de ingresar. Limite sus bebidas a las de la botella o las de recipientes con tapas seguramente cerradas. Silencien sus teléfonos celulares y otros dispositivos electrónicos. Deje sus patinetas, patines, scooters y bicicletas afuera del edificio. Tenemos casilleros disponibles en renta, con una tarjeta de la biblioteca, en el mostrador de circulación. Un encargado/a responsable del cuidado de los a los niños/as menores de diez años de edad debe acompañarlos en todo momento. Los niños/as que se abandonen en la Biblioteca serán entregados a la custodia del Departamento de Policía de Woodburn. Durante el uso de la biblioteca, por favor: Hable en voz baja. Limite el uso del teléfono celular para conversaciones breves, se permiten conversaciones de tono suave solo en el primer piso. Camine; nunca corra. Mantenga las entradas, los pasillos, las escaleras y salidas de emergencia libres de obstrucciones. Reserve el uso del ascensor/ elevador para los adultos y/o personas con discapacidades. Demuestre una conducta razonable que sea afín con el propósito de la Biblioteca. Sin ruidos, ordenada, sin amenazas o acosos. No se permitirá ningún lenguaje obsceno, abusivo o vulgar hacia los clientes o del personal. Coopere con los empleados de la biblioteca. Se les pedirá el desalojo a las personas que interfieren con el uso normal de la biblioteca. Mantenga la posesión de sus objetos personales en todo momento. Los bolsos, paquetes y mochilas desentendidos serán puestos a disposición del Departamento de Policía de Woodburn. Por favor tenga en cuenta que: El uso indebido o desfiguración de materiales, equipos e instalaciones de la biblioteca, es ilegal. Se prohíbe la solicitud o venta de productos o servicios. Sólo los animales de servicio están permitidos en la Biblioteca. La ley estatal prohíbe fumar en establecimientos públicos o a una distancia mínima de 10 pies de la entrada. Библиотека – общественное место, роль которого способствовать развитию навыков грамотности, получению знаний, а также обеспечивать доступ в Интернет и участие в культурных мероприятиях. Всего этого можно достичь, если следовать следующим правилам: Перед посещением библиотеки, не забудьте: в библиотеке запрещается употреблять любую пищу, за исключением напитков в бутылках или емкостях с крышками, отключить звук в своих мобильных телефонах и прочих электронных приборах, оставить скейтборды, самокаты и велосипеды снаружи библиотеки. Замки для них можно получить в отделе выдачи при наличии библиотечной карточки, дети в возрасте до 10 лет должны находиться в библиотеке только в сопровождении отвечающих за них взрослых. Оставленные без присмотра дети будут отправлены в Полицейский Участок Вудбэрна. Находясь в библиотеке, пожалуйста: • соблюдайте тишину. Короткие разговоры по телефону тихим голосом разрешаются только на первом этаже библиотеки, • не бегайте, • не блокируйте входы, проходы, лестницы и аварийные выходы, • оставьте право пользования лифтом за взрослыми и инвалидами, • ведите себя в соответствии с правилами поведения в культурном месте. Запрещаются громкая речь, нарушение общественного порядка, а также поведение, расцениваемое как угрожающее. Запрещается использование непристойной, оскорбительной и вульгарной речи при разговоре с другими посетителями библиотеки и персоналом, • сообщите персоналу библиотеки о нарушении общественного порядка. Лица, нарушаюшие правила поведения, обязаны будут покинуть здание библиотеки, • не оставляйте без присмотра личные вещи. В противном случае, оставленные без присмотра сумки, свертки и рюкзаки будут отправлены в Полицеский Участок Вудбэрна. Имейте в виду: • неправильное использование или порча библиотечного материала, оборудования или помещения является нелегальным, • навязывание или продажа товаров и услуг в библиотеке запрещается, • только животные-поводыри разрешаются в здании библиотеки, • Закон штата запрещает курение в общественных местах или на расстоянии менее 10 футов (около 3 метров) от входа в общественное здание, • запрещается иметь при себе и использовать нелегальные препараты или алкоголь на территории муниципальной собственности.
