The City Council meeting scheduled for August 25, 2014 has been cancelled. The next Council meeting will take place September 8, 2014. B. City Hall, the Library and transit service will be closed September 1, 2014 in observance of Labor Day. The Aquatic Center will be open normal hours. Appointments: None. 4. COMMUNITY/GOVERNMENT ORGANIZATIONS None. 5. PROCLAMATIONS/PRESENTATIONS Proclamations: None. Presentations: A. GENERAL BUSINESS – Members of the public wishing to comment on items of general business must complete and submit a speaker’s card to the City Recorder prior to commencing this portion of the Council’s agenda. Comment time may be limited by Mayoral prerogative. A. Council Bill No. 2966 - A Resolution Waiving Ordinance 2312 (the Noise Ordinance) to Allow Nighttime Construction Activity Associated with the Pacific Highway 99E and Young Street Intersection Improvement Project 4 Recommended Action: Adopt the attached resolution waving the City Noise Ordinance for the construction activities associated with the Pacific Highway 99E and Young Street intersection Improvement Project. B. Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City and the University of Oregon by and through the Condon Collection 10 Recommended Action: It is recommended that the City Council authorize the City Administrator to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Oregon by and through the Condon Collection of the Museum of Natural and Cultural History related to the care and management of City owned Paleo-Archaeological artifacts. ---PAGE BREAK--- August 11, 2014 Council Agenda Page iii 12.
