Finance court>forms>new forms (updated 03/30/18) COURT ARRAIGNMENT PROCEDURES Your name will be called in the order that you checked in. Please stand behind the table to speak to the Judge. You will be advised of the charge(s) and asked to make a plea of Not Guilty, or No Contest (definitions below). You will be given an opportunity to explain after entering your plea and before sentencing occurs. After sentencing, you will need to pay your fine or make arrangements to pay your fine at the Court window. Your plea options are explained below: NO CONTEST – you are not admitting that you are guilty but that you do not wish to contest the offense. Please be aware that if you enter a NO CONTEST plea the matter will still appear on your driving record as a conviction. NOT GUILTY – the matter will be set for a trial. You will need to return on the date the Notice indicates. You must notify the Clerk if your address changes. Payment of Fines If a fine is imposed, full payment is due upon leaving the Court. The Court accepts cash, credit or debit cards, money orders, and personal checks as forms of payment. There is a payment agreement option available for those who cannot pay the fine in full at this time. A $25 dollar administrative fee applies to those individuals that choose this option. Additional personal information is also required. Please fill out the information on the payment plan agreement prior to seeing the clerk at the window. Below is the payment schedule based on the total amount of the fines owed. FINES MUST BE PAID IN FULL, OTHERWISE THE FINE WILL RETURN TO THE FULL BASE FINE AMOUNT. Minimum due Total Fine each month If you have previously been suspended and/or sent to collections for non-payment, you are not eligible for a payment agreement. PLEASE BE ADVISED: When a payment agreement is set-up, it is your responsibility to get your payments to the Court on the scheduled date. The court does not send a bill or statement. Failure to pay a traffic citation will result in SUSPENSION of your driving privileges and additional fees being assessed. Por favor parece detrás de la mesa para hablar con la Juez. Se le informará de la(s) acusaciones(es) y se le pedirá que, de su declaración de Inocencia, o No Se Opone (las definiciones se muestran a continuación). Se le dará la oportunidad de dar una explicación después que de su declaración y antes de que se dicte su sentencia. Después de la sentencia, usted tendrá que pagar su multa o hacer arreglos para pagar su multa en la ventanilla. Sus opciones de declaración se explican a continuación: NO SE OPONE usted no está admitiendo que usted es culpable pero no se opone al cargo. Por favor tenga en cuenta que si usted NO SE OPONE a los cargos de una infracción de tráfico, todavía aparecerá en su registro de conducir como una convicción. Hay una opción de acuerdo de pagos disponible para aquellos que no pueden pagar la multa en su totalidad en este momento. Un cargo administrativo de $25 se aplicará a aquellas personas que optan por esta opción. También se requiere información personal adicional. Por favor complete la información en el acuerdo de plan de pagos antes de ir a la ventanilla. A continuación, se muestra el plan de pagos basado en la cantidad total de las multas adeudadas.
