BUSINESS FROM THE AUDIENCE This portion of the agenda allows the public to introduce items for Board consideration not already scheduled on the agenda. 4a. Judy Bowen, 1841 Janson Way – - Thank you for the dog area, like the current location at the Park's center. 4b. Stan Arms, 1315 Walton Way – - Lives at the SE corner of the Park. - A 17-year resident of Woodburn and 6 years at his current home in the Estates. - The staff has been respectful and responsive to any inquiries. - Concerned that placing the dog park at the south edge of the Park would decrease property values for those homes. - All people walking from the south to the north of the Park would create traffic directly between their homes and the dog park's fence. - If the dog park is in the center of the Park, it will provide equal access from all entry points. - The current center location also provides better access for those who may park. City of Woodburn Recreation and Park Board Agenda Woodburn City Hall/Virtual (Hybrid) September 13, 2022 6:00pm Virtual Meeting: ---PAGE BREAK--- - Concern that having the area fenced will create a mud pit in the off-leash area versus the current off-leash area. 4c. Vicki, Address not heard - Two chihuahuas, and she would like the idea of a fenced off-leash area. - 2/3 persons she spoke to about the dog park would like it fenced. - Would use Centennial Park Dog Park, but many people allow large dogs in the small dog area. 4d. Karen Linton, Adress not heard - Most of the people she has heard from would like a fenced area. 4e. Lisa and John Baker, Address not heard - In the Park, 4 to 5 times per day. - Don't want a fenced area. - Like the current off-leash area, those who have used the off-leash area are respectful. - Keep the dog area in the current location and how it is to prevent losing grass. 5.
