WOODBURN PUBLIC ARTS AND MURALS COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES FROM THE SEPTEMBER 19, 2018 MEETING Attendees: Merri Berlin, Christine Lopez, Sharon Schaub, Sharon Corning, Colleen Vancil, Judy Massaia, Brenda Valentino-Bravo, Frank Lonergan, Kristi St. Amant Staff: Chris Kerr, McKenzie Granum, Jamie Johnk • Approval of August 15, 2018 Meeting Minutes: Approved • Plaza Fountain Art Project: o Final Design Approval: Staff shared that the City Council approved the revised design of the sculptures at last meeting. Committee reached consensus on the design (as presented) and to proceed with the public hearing process. o Public Hearing Process: McKenzie discuss the hearing process and roles the Committee will have. Staff will compile a one-sheet outline on the public hearing process. o Public Hearing Date: A Public Hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. The Hearing will be held in the City Council Chambers. Staff will prepare a flier for Committee members to provide to concerned parties. The results of the public hearing will be on the November 13, 2018 City Council agenda as a call-up item. • Other Discussion Items: o Staff invited committee members to attend the Oregon Main Street dinner on October 4th at the Metropolis and hosted by the City of Woodburn. o The committee discuss the concept of mural selfie walls. Additional discussion is needed and will be an item on the November agenda. • Adjourn: Meeting adjourned
