Publish 10/18/2023 PUBLIC NOTICE VACANCIES ON CITY BOARDS/COMMITTEES WHITEFISH LAKE AND LAKESHORE PROTECTION COMMITTEE- One positions, complete the term ending 12/31/2024. Applicant must be a lakefront property owner and reside within the corporate limits of the city of Whitefish. Three positions, 2-year term. Applicant shall reside within the corporate limits of the city of Whitefish; or applicant shall reside outside the corporate limits of the city of Whitefish and shall be a lakefront property owner. Committee meets once a month. FLATHEAD CONSERVATION DISTRICT BOARD – One position, to serve as an urban supervisor, to complete the term ending 12/31/2025. Pursuant §76-15-311 M.C.A applicants may reside within the city limits of Whitefish; For more details on this board please see their website IMPACT FEE ADVISORY COMMITTEE –Two position, 2-year term. Applicant shall be a member-at-large and shall reside or work within the City limits; or applicant shall be a representative of the development community and shall reside or work within City limits. This Committee meets once a year, or as needed. WHITEFISH HOUSING AUTHORITY – One position, 5-year term. The Housing Authority follows the terms and conditions defined in the Montana Annotated Code Title 7, Chapter 5, Part 44 and 45. This Committee meets the 4th Wednesday at 4:00 pm. WHITEFISH SUSTAINABLE TOURISM MANAGEMENT PLAN – Four positions, 2-year term. One applicant shall be a member of the Whitefish Mountain Resort; three applicants shall be members-at-large (must be a city resident with experience in, knowledge of, or perspective on tourism and its relationship to the Whitefish community). Applicant may reside outside the City of Whitefish, as long as the member resides in Flathead County and has an ownership interest in or a managerial position at a business located and operating within the corporate limits of Whitefish. WHITEFISH CLIMATE ACTION PLAN COMMITTEE – Three positions, 2-year term. Applicant shall be a City resident or have technical expertise in the areas of energy use, energy conservation, and/or climate change. This Committee meets on the 3rd Wednesday. BOARD OF APPEALS – One position, term not designated. The Board of Appeals determines suitability of alternate materials and methods of construction and to provide for reasonable interpretations of the International Building Code. Applicant must be qualified by experience or training to pass on matters pertaining to building construction. The Committee meets as needed.
