City of Whitefish Department of Public Works 418 E. 2nd Street I PO Box 158 Whitefish, MT 59937 (406) 863-2460 I Fax (406) 863-2419 NOTICE OF VARIOUS ROAD CLOSURES The Public Works Department will be sealcoating several roads throughout the City on Tuesday August 13 and Wednesday August 14 between 9 am and 5 pm. The following is a list of roadways that will be treated: Tuesday August 13 COLORADO AVE COLUMBIA AVE DODGER LN Wednesday August 14 E 2ND ST IOWA AVE KALISPELL AVE PINE AVE The project will require each road to be closed a section at a time for several hours. These road closures are necessary in order to apply the sealant and allow it time to cure. This will improve the quality of the roadway and protect the asphalt pavement for years to come. Performing routine roadway maintenance treatments allows us to keep our streets in good condition and helps to prevent expensive repairs. Traffic signs & barriers will be in place until the treatment has completely dried. Do not attempt to drive, park, or walk on the treated roadway until these are removed. Once each section of roadway is treated and the traffic control is removed from this section, you are free to use the road. If your home is on one of these roadways there will be a period of approximately 2 hours when you will be unable to access your driveway. YOU MUST PARK YOUR VEHICLE ON A NEARBY STREET BEFORE 9 AM each day, or until your section of road has been completed and traffic control devices have been removed.
