P.O. Box 158 ∙ Whitefish, MT 59937 ∙ (406) 863-2400 ∙ Fax: (406) 863-2419 April 7, 2020 Dear Whitefish Residents and Business Owners, Today, Governor Bullock issued an extension of the stay-at-home directive, closure of public schools, restrictions for on-premise food and beverage businesses, mandatory quarantine restrictions for certain travelers, and limitations for evictions, foreclosures, and cancellation of utilities through April 24, 2020. The Governor's Directive extension also clarified if you are self-quarantining, you cannot leave for groceries, public outdoor recreation, to go to work, or any other activity. You must remain at your place of quarantine for the duration of the quarantine period. With the first signs of community spread in Flathead Valley it is ever more important to stay at home as much as possible, wash your hands, use delivery services when possible, wear cloth face coverings while in public, and maintain social distancing of 6-feet apart while participating in essential activities. Our first responders and emergency services providers are relying on you to help keep them safe during this pandemic when responding to your calls for help. In accordance with an additional directive issued by Governor Bullock today, it is imperative that emergency services providers are notified, when possible, if a patient has or may have COVID-19. Thank you for continuing to take this health emergency very seriously. Please stay home and take care. Sincerely, Dana M. Smith City Manager
