The Design Team will present its recommendations to the City Council in later this fall for plan approval. The current recommendations are as follows: 4-way stop controlled intersection at Texas & Denver. 3-way stop controlled intersection at Texas & Cedar. No Texas reconstruction north of Denver. Proceed with the “west path” option. Texas Avenue Reconstruction Project ---PAGE BREAK--- Robert Peccia & Associates – Kalispell, Montana West Path Benefits (Recommended Option) Maximizes clearance between power poles and vehicular traffic. Meandering path design will utilize space beneath power lines. Simplifies proposed storm drainage system. Maximizes connectivity to existing and future local roadway sidewalks. Minimizes number of Texas Avenue crosswalks. Potential to save more trees along east side of roadway. Texas Avenue Reconstruction Project ---PAGE BREAK--- Robert Peccia & Associates – Kalispell, Montana Design Features New Street Lighting System Need street lights with new path. New Storm Drainage System Combination of curbs, inlets and pipes. Opportunity for private sump pump connections. If you have a sump pump that you would like to connect, please inform the design team.
