Publish 10/19/2022 and 10/26/2022 PUBLIC NOTICE VACANCIES ON CITY BOARDS/COMMITTEES WHITEFISH PLANNING BOARD – Four positions, 2-year term. Applicants shall reside within the corporate limits of the city of Whitefish and shall be qualified by knowledge and experience in matters pertaining to the development of the city. This Committee meets the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:00 pm. WHITEFISH LAKE AND LAKESHORE PROTECTION COMMITTEE- Three positions, 2-year term, applicant must be a lakefront property owner within the corporate limits of the city of Whitefish, and a lakefront property owner outside the corporate limits of the city of Whitefish. complete term ending 12/31/2023, applicant shall reside within the corporate limits of the city of Whitefish. Committee meets once a month. ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE – One position, 3-year term. Applicants shall reside within the corporate limits of the city of Whitefish, are employed or own a business in the city of Whitefish, or own property in the city of Whitefish; or be Montana licensed architect, or licensed design professional either architect, engineer, or landscape architect). The committee meets twice a month April – October, once a month November – March in the mornings. WHITEFISH CLIMATE ACTION PLAN STANDING COMMITTEE – Two positions, 2-year term. Applicants shall be City residents or have technical expertise in the areas of energy use, energy conservation and/or climate change. This Committee meets the 3rd Wednesday in the evening. FLATHEAD CONSERVATION DISTRICT BOARD – One position, 3-year term to serve as an urban supervisor. Applicants shall reside within the city limits of Whitefish. For more details on this board please see their website BOARD OF PARK COMMISSIONERS – One position, term ending 5/1/2023. Applicants must have resided within the City Limits for 2 years and within the State for 3 years and must be at least 21 years old. The Committee meets once a month in the evenings. BOARD OF APPEALS – One position, term not designated. The Board of Appeals determines suitability of alternate materials and methods of construction and to provide for reasonable interpretations of the International Building Code. Applicant must be qualified by experience or training to pass on matters pertaining to building construction. The Committee meets as needed. IMPACT FEE ADVISORY COMMITTEE – Two positions. One position to complete term ending 12/31/2023; one position 2-year term. Applicant shall be a member-at-large and shall reside or work within the City limits. WHITEFISH HOUSING AUTHORITY – One position, to complete term ending 12/31/2026. The Housing Authority follows the terms and conditions defined in the Montana Annotated Code Title 7, Chapter 15, Part 44 and 45.
