City Beach Commercial Boat Launch Permit A Commercial Launch Permit is required to launch commercial watercraft at the City Beach Boat Launch. The permit program enables the City of Whitefish to manage commercial use of the boat launch and ensures that all rules and regulations are adhered to. Fees from this program supports the costs of maintaining and administering the boat launch. All businesses must obtain a permit prior to launching from City Beach. Commercial uses include but are not limited to watercraft retail sales, equipment rentals, boat and dock maintenance services, and guided activities including angling, tours, and watersports. Non-profit organizations and educational groups that receive money from participants are also required to purchase a permit. Permit Fee: $125 (includes one boat launch season pass or 5 single use launch coupons) All permit holders are required to understand and agree to the following rules: AIS Inspections and Decontaminations: All watercraft MUST be inspected prior to launching in Whitefish Lake from May through September. Certain high-risk watercraft must be decontaminated prior to launching in Whitefish Lake. The City will communicate any updates in AIS inspection policies via email. AIS Self Certification: During the months of October through April, all commercial permit holders must complete the Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Boat Inspection Certification Exam. Certification enables local commercial businesses to receive a code to access the boat launch during the off season. This online certification can be found on the City’s website at www.cityofwhitefish.org. Vending Ordinance: All commercial permit holders must read and understand Ordinance No. 15-06 regarding vending in the City Beach area and all park, city and state rules, policies and ordinances. Regulations prohibit product demonstrations, customer solicitation, exchange of money on park property (including tips), and beaching of commercial watercraft. Whitefish City Beach Rules: All commercial permit holders must read and understand the rules and regulations of Whitefish City Beach and abide by all the laws governing the use of the launch facility, parking areas and the park. Boat Launch Passes: All commercial users must have either a season pass for each vessel or purchase a day pass for each vessel. A boat launch waiver form is required for each season pass purchased. The season pass must be affixed to the watercraft and is non-transferable between boats. A single season pass or five, single use launch coupons are included with the City Beach Commercial Boat Launch Permit fee. Failure to obtain a commercial boat launch permit violates code 15-06. Failure to abide by the rules will result in the revocation of your commercial boat launch permit. ---PAGE BREAK--- City Beach Commercial Boat Launch Permit Application *Please also return a signed waiver form to receive your season pass* Business Name: Business License Owner’s Name (Last, First): Mailing Address: Physical Address: (your application cannot be processed if you provide just a PO Box number) City: State: Zip: Email: Website: Business Description: Choose one: Season Pass 5 Launch Coupons I certify that the information provided is correct.
