Publish 10/27/2021 & 11/03/2021 PUBLIC NOTICE VACANCIES ON CITY BOARDS/COMMITTEES BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS – Three positions, 3-year term. Applicant shall reside within the corporate city limits of Whitefish. The Committee meets as needed, the first Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. BOARD OF APPEALS – One position, term not designated. The Board of Appeals determines suitability of alternate materials and methods of construction and to provide for reasonable interpretations of the International Building Code. Applicant must be qualified by experience or training to pass on matters pertaining to building construction. The Committee meets as needed. CLIMATE ACTION PLAN STANDING COMMITTEE – One position, 2-year term. Applicant shall be a city resident or have technical expertise in the areas of energy use, energy conservations, and/or climate change. This Committee meets the 3rd Wednesday at 5:30 pm. WHITEFISH HOUSING AUTHORITY – One position, 2-year term. The Housing Authority follow the terms and conditions defined in the Montana Annotated Code Title 7, Chapter 15, Part 44 and 45. This Committee meets the 4th Wednesday at 4:00 pm. IMPACT FEE ADVISORY COMMITTEE – One position, 2-year term. Applicant shall reside or work within City limits. This Committee meets annually. LAKE AND LAKESHORE PROTECTION COMMITTEE – Three positions, 2-year terms. Two positions are open for applicants who shall reside within the corporate limits of the city of Whitefish; and one position is open for applicant who shall reside outside the corporate limits of the city of Whitefish and shall be lakefront property owners. This Committee meets the second Wednesday in the evening. PLANNING BOARD – One position, 2-year term. Applicant shall reside within the city limits of Whitefish and shall be qualified by knowledge and experience in matters pertaining to the development of the city. This Committee meets the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:00 p.m. SUSTAINABLE TOURISM MANAGEMENT PLAN STEERING COMMITTEE – One position, to complete the term ending October 1, 2022. Applicant shall be a representative of a non-profit organization within city limits, or a member-at-large (must be a city resident with experience in, knowledge of, or perspective on tourism and its relationship to the Whitefish community).
