Permit Extension Form Payment for a Building Permit is required within 30 days of notification of approval. Building Permits are valid as long as there is continued progress on the project. If there is a delay or stop in work for 180 days or more, the Building Permit may be cancelled, requiring the applicant to reapply. Applicants are eligible for an extension on payment or progress by submitting a written request (like the form below) to the Building Official.
