Public Hearing Notice A public hearing for Washington County will take place on October 13, 2023, at 12 pm at the Washington County Board of Commissioners Office, 119 Jones Street, Sandersville, Georgia. Washington County is amending its comprehensive plan, Washington County Joint Comprehensive Plan 2021-2026, by adding a project to the Community Facilities section of the Community Work Program. The purpose of this meeting will be to brief the community on this amendment and notify the community of when the amended plan will be adopted and submitted to the Regional Commission and the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. Residents wishing to comment or make suggestions or revisions should be in attendance. Citizens can access copies of the amended plan in advance of the public hearing beginning October 9, 2023 by contacting Chris Hutchings, County Administrator at [PHONE REDACTED].
