ADDENDUM 1 PROJECT: HISTORIC WASHINGTON COUNTY WINDOW RESTORATION PROJECT RFP 2024-004 DATE: 02.19.2024 Information contained in this document and in the referenced drawings constitute Addendum 1 to the Contract Documents and shall be incorporated into the proposals due 8 March 2024. SCOPE CLARIFICATIONS: 1. GLAZING STOPS: In-kind replacement of quarter-round exterior glazing stops is not required for windows where the stop is missing or significantly damaged. Remove glazing stops from sashes where retention of all four pieces is not possible and replace with glazing putty per the wood window reconditioning notes. Where glazing stops can be retained or combined to complete four sides of a sash, recondition and reuse the historic glazing stops. 2. NORTH DORMER LOUVERS: Replacement/repair of louvers in north side dormer openings is included in the scope of wood substrate repairs for the Project. 3. CLOCK TOWER LOUVERS: Substrate repairs to the large louvered openings in the clock tower are not included the scope of this project 4. INTERIOR WINDOW REFINISHING SCOPE: Painted window interiors will require repainting to perimeter of interior casing/apron (i.e. at joint with adjacent wall surface). Existing natural finish windows will require refinishing of sash interior only and any elements, (i.e. stops) damaged or replaced during performance of the reconditioning work. SURVEY OF PAINTED VS NATURAL FINISH WINDOW INTERIORS: First Floor: All window interiors are painted. Second Floor: Natural-finish interiors at the following windows: 205, 206, 207, 208, 209, 210, 211, 212, 213, 227, 228, 229, 230, 231, 232, 233. All other windows are painted. Third Floor: Natural-finish interiors at the following windows: 300, 301, 302, 303, 309, 310. 6. Christmas lights must be taken down by Contractor prior to exterior repainting.
