NOTICE PLEASE READ BEFORE ENTERING THE COURTROOM Pursuant to the Judicial Emergency, the following courtroom procedures are implemented for Washington County Magistrate Court: 1. PLEASE REMAIN OUTSIDE THE COURTROOM until courtroom personnel come into the lobby and call your case. 2. NO ONE WHO IS COUGHING, FEVERISH OR ILL MAY ENTER THE COURTROOM. 3. This courtroom is open to the public at all times, but members of the public who are not participants in the ongoing judicial proceedings are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED to remain outside the courtroom for health reasons. 4. YOU MUST WEAR A MASK OR FACE COVERING, unless the Judge allows you to remove it. 5. The only place to observe in the courtroom is from the gallery and you must sit on a marked X. 6. DO NOT CROSS THE BAR WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM THE COURT. 7. Plaintiff/Prosecution sits at the table closest to the jury box; Defendant sits at the table farthest from the jury box. 8. Do not approach the bench or go beyond counsel tables without permission from the Court. 9. Witnesses should remain outside the courtroom until called. When called, the witness will go to the designated witness seat in the jury box. 10. Violation of these procedures may result in a contempt citation. SO ORDERED, this 15th day of May, 2020. J.
