REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS The Walton County Board of Commissioners is accepting sealed proposals for two pre- engineered metal buildings. One 38’ x 100’ building to be used as a garage for Walton Co. EMS, located at 1110 E. Spring Street, Monroe, Ga. and one 42’ x 180’ to be used for equipment storage at Walton Co. Public Works located at 1407 S. Madison Avenue, Monroe, Ga. Proposals documents may be obtained at the County Commissioners Office located in the Historic Walton Co. Courthouse, 111 S. Broad Street, Monroe, Ga. 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday, or by email to Rhonda Hawk, [EMAIL REDACTED]. Proposals will be accepted at the Historic Walton Co. Courthouse, 111 S. Broad Street, Monroe, Georgia 30655 until 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 20th, 2020. Proposals submitted after this time will not be accepted. Both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Proof of General Liability Insurance and Workman’s Compensation Insurance will be required with Walton County named as additional insured. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Funds in the amount of 5% of the proposal amount. Bidders must submit with the proposal a Contractor Affidavit verifying compliance with the Federal Work Authorization Program known as E-Verify. Walton County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any technicalities or irregularities and to make award based on the highest and best interest of Walton County.
