INVITATION TO BID 2020 Milling and Deep Patching Formal bids will be received by the Walton County Board of Commissioners for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and any other miscellaneous items necessary for milling and deep patching on various roads and streets located in Walton County and the incorporated municipalities of Loganville, Social Circle and Walnut Grove. Bids will be received by the Walton County Purchasing Department, 111 S. Broad St., Monroe, Georgia no later than 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 19, 2020. Any bid received after said time and date of bid opening will not be considered. Bidding documents may be obtained at the Walton Co. Historic Courthouse, 111 S. Broad Street, Monroe, Ga. or via email to Rhonda Hawk, [EMAIL REDACTED]. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total amount bid shall be required. In lieu of a bid bond, a cashier's check, cash or an irrevocable letter of credit may be accepted. Both a performance and payment bond will be required in the amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Proof of workers compensation and liability insurance will be required with Walton County and the municipalities named as additional insured. Contractors must also provide a Contractor Affidavit verifying compliance with the Federal Work Authorization Program known as E- Verify. This form must be notarized. The Walton County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informality and to accept any Bid which in its opinion may be in the best interest of the Walton County Board of Commissioners and the municipalities.
