NOTICE OF LETTING OF CONTRACT Notice is hereby given that the Walton County Board of Commissioners will let a contract to the lowest responsible, qualified contractor, bidder by sealed bids submitted to the Walton County Purchasing Department, 111 South Broad Street (Historic Courthouse) Monroe, GA 30655, no later than 2:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time, Thursday November 07, 2019, for two separate projects: the HVAC replacement in the Historic Courthouse and the HVAC replacement at the Walton County Government Building. Bid Documents can be obtained by sending an email request to [EMAIL REDACTED]. All documents are also posted in the Board of Commissioners’ Office for review only. No copies will be printed or mailed. Additionally, all Bidders are responsible to check the Architect’s FTP Site periodically for any Addenda that have been issued. Bidders shall address all questions regarding bid documents to [EMAIL REDACTED] No questions will be answered via telephone. All equal products will be acceptable for substitutions without prior approval. However, the burden of proof will be on the proposer. Both a Performance and a Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. Proof of General Liability Insurance and Workman’s Compensation Insurance will be required with Walton County Board of Commissioners listed as an additional insured. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Funds in the amount of 5% of the Bid Amount. All Bidders must submit E-verify Contractor Affidavit verifying compliance with the Federal Work Authorization Program. Walton County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any technicalities or irregularities and to award the bid based on the highest and best interests of Walton County.
