KEEP WALTON BEAUTIFUL, Inc. December 5, 2008 Dear Friend, As a Walton County business owner, you have an opportunity to make a difference in our county and its residents by supporting the efforts of Keep Walton Beautiful. This non-profit organization seeks to make Walton County a cleaner and more sustainable community through education and resident involvement. Your support of Keep Walton Beautiful will allow us to continue our efforts to encourage recycling, reduce littering, promote natural resource conservation and educate our children about how to be good environmental stewards. As Walton County continues to grow, it is more important than ever that we work to divert recyclable items from our landfills, keep our roadsides clean and make smart choices to conserve water and energy. Taking these steps will help to ensure that Walton County is a clean community that will continue to grow and thrive, bringing in new residents and visitors for your business. For as little as $50 year, you can make a difference in our outreach efforts. Your donation will be used to support the programs that are highlighted in the enclosed information, as well as for a few key projects, including: Providing for transportation costs and bus driver fees so that third graders throughout the county have the opportunity to visit the Recycling Center in Monroe to gain a better understanding about their efforts to recycle help our county and the environment. Purchasing more recycling containers for use in our schools and at community events. Encouraging smokers to properly dispose of cigarette butts through the distribution of disposable ashtrays and/or purchasing additional cigarette disposal stands for our downtown areas. Supporting outreach efforts to raise awareness of special events including the Rivers Alive, Great American Clean Up, America Recycles Day and Bring One for the Chipper. Keep Walton County Beautiful also needs the support of volunteers for many special events throughout the year, including group cleanups, Adopt-A-Mile, festivals and other activities. We look forward to working with you as a sponsor of Keep Walton Beautiful and recognizing your business for its support of environmental sustainability.
