INVITATION TO BID Walton County 2020 Traffic Striping, Safety Markings and RPM Program Formal bids will be received by the Walton County Board of Commissioners for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and any other miscellaneous items necessary for traffic striping (52.84 Miles), safety markings and raised pavement marker installation on various roads/streets in unincorporated Walton County and local municipalities. Bids will be received by the Walton County Purchasing Department no later than 2:30 P.M. on Thursday, February 20, 2020. Any bid received after said time and date of bid opening will not be considered by Walton County. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at this time and location. Bids will be evaluated by Walton County and presented for approval by the Board of Commissioners on March 3, 2020. In lieu of a bid bond, a cashier's check, cash or an irrevocable letter of credit may be accepted. Both a performance and payment bond will be required in the amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Proof of workers compensation and liability insurance will be required with the Walton County Board of Commissioners named as additional insured. Each bid must be submitted in a SEALED ENVELOPE, addressed to the Walton County Board of Commissioners. Each sealed envelope containing a Bid must be plainly marked on the outside as, "Bid for 2020 Traffic Striping, Safety Markings and RPM Program”. If bid is forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the bid must be enclosed in a separate mailing envelope to the attention of Rhonda Hawk, Purchasing Manager, Historic Walton County Courthouse, 111 South Broad Street, Monroe, Georgia, 30655. CONTRACTORS and SUBCONTRACTORS bidding on this Project will be required to comply with all Federal, State, and local laws. The Walton County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informality and to accept any Bid which in its opinion may be in the best interest of the Walton County Board of Commissioners. Proof of workers compensation and liability insurance will be required with the Walton County Board of Commissioners named as additional insured. Contractors must also provide a Contractor Affidavit verifying compliance with the Federal Work Authorization Program known as E-Verify. This form must be notarized.
