LUCY MARTIN Story County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections Story County Administration, 900 Sixth Street, Nevada, Iowa 50201-2087 [PHONE REDACTED] Fax [PHONE REDACTED] Assistant Auditor: Lisa M. Markley Deputies: Danielle J. Dunham and Stacie L. Herridge www.storycounty.com/auditor PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE For more information contact: Lucy Martin @ [PHONE REDACTED] WHAT: Voter Registration Card Mailing WHEN: February 13, 2012 WHO: All Active Registrants in Story County All active registered voters in Story County will be receiving a new voter registration card in the mail. The cards contain the precinct and polling place changes that went into effect on January 15, 2012. The decennial census and its corresponding redistricting process re-drew legislative boundaries resulting in several polling location changes within Story County. Boundaries are established for ten years. Voters are asked to carefully review their cards. Precincts and polling places have changed for many residents. Updated cards also inform voters of their current voting locations. Voters should review their cards for accuracy as well. Please check for correct spelling, political party affiliation, and date of birth. Accurate and up-to-date registration records are integral to the election process. If your card contains the correct information, do not mail the reply card back. Keep the card for your reference. If changes are necessary, please fill out the postage paid return card, sign it and drop it in the mail. If a card is delivered to your address for a voter that is deceased, please mark “deceased” on the card, sign the card, and drop it in the mail. If you do not receive a card by March 1st and believe that you are an active registered voter of Story County, please call the Auditor’s Office at [PHONE REDACTED].
