Star City Council Meeting Minutes January 5, 2010 A regular meeting of the Star City Council was held on January 5, 2010 at Star City Hall at 7:00 pm. Mayor Nathan Mitchell called the meeting to order and all stood for the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll Call: Council persons Tammy McDaniel, Tom Erlebach and Chad Bell were present. Councilman Dustin Christopherson joined Council at 7:10 pm. Approval of the Agenda: Erlebach moved to amend the agenda of January 5, 2010, removing agenda items 7A & B and placing them on the agenda for the second meeting in January, McDaniel seconded the motion. All ayes: motion carried. Consent Agenda: Bell moved to approve the Consent Agenda which consisted of the Regular Meeting Minutes of December 15, 2009 and Claims Against the City for December 2009; McDaniel seconded the motion. All ayes: motion carried. Swearing in of Council Persons: Oath of Office – Mayor Mitchell executed the swearing in of Tammy McDaniel and Gary Smith as Council members. Mayor’s Presentation: Mayor Mitchell presented a plaque of appreciation to outgoing Councilman Dustin Christopherson for his years of service to the City of Star as a City Councilman. Christopherson thanked the citizens for allowing him to serve the last six years. Reports: Council – Bell stated he had spoken with two scout masters asking about possible Eagle Scout Projects. It was mentioned there may be something for the River Walk Pathway. Erlebach asked for information regarding activity on the property next to the cemetery. The Mayor stated an LDS Church had pulled a building permit and started moving dirt. Mayor – Mayor Mitchell noted it had been quiet due to the holidays. He mentioned the legislature would be starting up and everyone should take note. Adjournment: McDaniel moved to adjourn the meeting, Bell seconded the motion. All ayes: motion carried.
