Includes replacing Star Rd Bridge #1008 and adding pedestrian crossing at Main Street and adding multi-use pathways on both sides of the roadway. Cost $ 13,404,000.00 2030-2031 Construction Projects Widen Star Road (Phase 2) from Chinden Blvd to Main Street to five lanes, 2 thru lanes in each direction with center medians and turn pockets where appropriate. Project includes replacement of Star Rd Bridge #2030 and adding multi-use pathways on both sides of the roadway. Design year 2028-2029, right-of-way acquisition 2030, construction year TBD Cost $ 9,069,000.00 Idaho Transportation Department Projects impacting the City of Star FY 2025-2026 – Highway 44/16 interchange, to begin in August 2025 Cost $ 79,500,000.00 FY 2026-2027 – Highway 20/26 from Star Road (Phyliss Canal) to Middleton Road widening Cost $ 110,517,000.00 Late 2026 - 2027(Moved up from 2029) – Highway 44 widening from Star Road to Highway 16 Cost $ 21,256,000.00 FY 2027 – Palmer Road/Highway 44, Signalized Intersection Cost $ 3,200,000.00 FY 2027 – Highway 16 widening from Highway 44 to Beacon Light Road (Includes the Floating Feather Overpass Cost $ 56,672,000.00 FY 2029 – Pathway along south side of Highway 44 from Star Road to Ballentyne Lane Cost $ 11,817,000.00 Highway District 4 (Canyon County) Design work, no construction dates yet Northern section of Blessinger Road, working on design to connect the road in the foothills. Can Ada Road North of Foothill Road, work on design for soft curve at the top by Thunder Ridge and work on design to lessen slope of major hill Kingsbury – design work to finish connections in the foothills. With funding cuts from the state level this legislative session, we may see changes in timing of some of these projects. TBD.
