Box 130 Star, Idaho 83669 [PHONE REDACTED] [EMAIL REDACTED] Commercial Sign Submittal Checklist & Standards Form 315 Rev 05-2025 COMMERCIAL SIGN SUBMITTAL CHECKLIST & STANDARDS Applicant Description Planning & Zoning Approval – Verify the proposed use is compatible with the current zoning of the property. Ensure no other entitlements are necessary from the Planning and Zoning Department. (Must have Planning approval prior to submittal to Building Dept.) Project Narrative – Detailed with full scope of work, including number of signs, illumination, location and placement. Lettering Style and Sizing – Complete text to appear on sign. Sign Dimensions – Including base, wall and background area. Construction Materials – Including construction materials of sign and existing building. Sign and Lettering Colors – Colored diagram, color samples, or paint chips. Site Plan – Must show the location of the existing structure on the site and any additional existing structures, dimensional setbacks. Building Elevations – Must include wall or ground dimensions, scaled location of sign on building and all existing signs. Anchorage, Engineered Plans, and Calculations - Provide detailed information on the construction of the sign, including how it will be attached or anchored. This should encompass the construction of the supporting structure, the type of anchors used, the anchorage location, and any relevant footing details. Structural plans, details, and calculations must be included and signed/stamped by an Idaho-licensed design professional. Submittal Standards • All plans must be submitted and uploaded to the IWORQ Portal. • All plans must be submitted as a PDF with a minimum plan size of 11” x 17” and uploaded in a landscape orientation (horizontal position). • All plans must have a space reserved for City Approval stamps. • Resubmittals must use the EXACT same file name as the original, with-resubmittal added to the end of the file name. • Calculations, reports, and other supporting documents (non-drawing files) must be submitted as separate searchable PDF files. • Any work on drawings that is not under permit being submitted for must be marked as “On a Separate Permit” Revision Standards • Same requirements as submittal plus additional requirements listed below. • Narrative of all changes with date of when changes are submitted. • All changes must be bubbled on plans with a revision number specifying the date of change. Submittal File Naming Requirements • File Naming Standards allow for easy identification of drawings by naming convention. • Files must be printer ready, i.e., set up properly for printing with title block, no data outside the print page area, etc. • Plan file name must include a completed legal description of the project or property. • The sheet name must clearly indicate the information found on the page.
