The Consolidated Plan will outline Salem’s housing and community development needs and funding priorities for the expenditure of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) funds. The Public Hearing will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 in the first floor conference room at 98 Washington Street at 6:00 p.m. The purpose of this hearing is to give citizens the opportunity to comment on the housing and community development needs of Salem’s low to moderate income residents and on the types of activities that should be undertaken to meet these needs. Any questions regarding the Consolidated Plan process should be directed to the DPCD at [PHONE REDACTED]. Written comments may be sent to the DPCD, 98 Washington St., Salem, MA 01970 by October 30, 2019. 98 Washington Street is handicapped accessible. However, persons will special needs should contact the DPCD for reasonable accommodation and provide ample time for the request to be arranged. El Plan Consolidado trazará las necesidades de viviendas y desarrollo comunitario de la ciudad de Salem y determinará cuáles recibirán prioridad de financiación proveniente de los fondos del Bloque de Subvención de Desarrollo Comunitario (Community Development Block Grant—CDBG) y del Programa de Asociaciones para Inversión en la Vivienda (Home Investment Partnerships Program—HOME). La Audiencia Pública se efectuará el dia 25 de Septiembre del año 2019, en el salón de conferencias en el 1er piso de la 98 Washington Street a las 6:00 PM. El propósito de la audiencia es dar oportunidad a la ciudadanía de enunciar sus comentarios acerca de las necesidades de vivienda y desarrollo de la Ciudad de Salem entre los residentes de ingresos bajos y moderados, y qué tipo de actividades deben ser emprendidas para satisfacer esas necesidades.
