LEGAL NOTICE City of Salem Pursuant to Massachusetts General Law Chapter 40R and 760 CMR 59 (Code of Massachusetts Regulations: Department of Housing and Community Development -Smart Growth Overlay District) notice is hereby given that the City of Salem, Office of the Mayor will hold a public hearing and informational meeting on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, beginning at 6pm in the cafeteria of the Harrington Building located at 11 Harrison Rd, Salem, MA 01970. Members of the public may, if technologically feasible, be able to watch proceedings via Salem Access Television live stream available at this link and may also watch live on SATV on Channel 9. The purpose of this public hearing is to provide an overview of the Smart Growth Overlay district process consistent with MGL Chapter 40R and to present and receive comment from interested persons relative to the application to the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities for a proposed Smart Growth Overlay district, through a zoning and map amendment, for the property located at 8, 11, 20-32 Harrison Road & 262 Loring Avenue, Salem, Massachusetts. The Smart Growth Overlay District would allow multifamily residential uses and mixed-use development. Materials will be available for review online at ImagineSalem.org and in the City of Salem Department of Planning and Community Development, located at 98 Washington Street, Salem, MA, as of November 4, 2024.
