Page 1 of 1 Decision to Extend Site Plan Review and Planned Unit Development Special Permit 38 Norman Street (Map 26, Lot 0464) May 6, 2024 Kinvarra Capital 667 Somerville Ave. Somerville, MA 02143 RE: 38 Norman Street (Map 26, Lot 0464) Extension of Site Plan Review and Planned Unit Development Special Permit On Thursday, April 18, 2024, the Planning Board of the City of Salem met to discuss your request for the approval of a one year extension to commence construction authorized by the Site Plan Review and Planned Unit Development Special Permit Decision for 38 Norman Street, originally dated April 14, 2022. A letter submitted by Scott Grover, on behalf of Kinvarra Capital f/b/o 38 Norman Street LLC, date-stamped April 10, 2024, requests approval to extend the permits granted by the Planning Board. The petitioner states that additional time is necessary in order to obtain state funding through the Housing Development Incentive Program, prepare construction documents, and gain issuance of a building permit. The actions required are expected to be completed within the requested extension period. The Planning Board voted eight (Chair Bill Griset, Kirt Reider, Helen Sides, Tom Furey, Sarah Tarbet, Jonathan Berk, Carole Hamilton, and Josh Turiel) in favor, and zero opposed to approve a request to extend the Site Plan Review and Planned Unit Development Special Permit Decision originally dated April 14, 2022, for one year to April 14, 2025, with no conditions.
