Correnti Kolick LLP 70 Washington Street, Suite 316 Salem, MA 01970 RE: 16, 18, 20R Franklin (Map 26, Lots 400, 401, and 402) Decision of Planning Board to grant request for a six month extension to commence construction authorized by the September 20, 2018, Site Plan Review, North River Canal Corridor Neighborhood Mixed Use District Special Permit, Flood Hazard Overlay District Special Permit, and Stormwater Management Permit Planning Board Decision for 16, 18, 20R Franklin Street, as amended by the May 18, 2020, Site Plan Review, North River Canal Corridor Neighborhood Mixed Use District Special Permit, Flood Hazard Overlay District Special Permit, and Stormwater Management Permit Planning Board Decision, April 21, 2022, Extension Decision, and November 4, 2022 Extension Decision The Salem Planning Board met on Thursday, April 20, 2023, to discuss your request for the approval of a six month extension to Wednesday, November 22, 2023, to commence construction authorized by the September 20, 2018, Site Plan Review, North River Canal Corridor Neighborhood Mixed Use District Special Permit, Flood Hazard Overlay District Special Permit, and Stormwater Management Permit, as amended by the May 18, 2020, decision, April 21, 2022, Extension Decision, and a November 4, 2022 Extension Decision. A letter submitted by Attorney Joseph Correnti, on behalf of Juniper Point Investment Co LLC, date- stamped March 29, 2023, requests approval to extend the permits granted by the Planning Board. The petitioner states that the additional time is necessary to obtain additional state permitting, including the completion of the Chapter 91 process and issuance of the related permit. The action required is expected to be completed within the requested extension period. The Planning Board voted eight in favor (Chair Bill Griset, Tom Furey, Sarah Tarbet, Helen Sides, Carole Hamilton, Zach Caunter, Jonathan Berk, and Josh Turiel) and zero opposed, to grant the approval of the requested six month extension of the Site Plan Review, North River Canal Corridor Neighborhood Mixed Use District Special Permit, Flood Hazard Overlay District Special Permit, and Stormwater Management Permit Decision dated September 20, 2018, amended May 18, 2020, and subject to an Extension Decisions dated April 21, 2022 and November 4, 2022. This determination shall become part of the record for this project.
