CITY OF SALEM, MASSACHUSETTS Kimberley Driscoll Mayor To Whom It May Concern: I am contacting you on behalf of our Salem for All Ages initiative, a city-wide effort to ensure Salem is an age-friendly community. You can read more about Salem for All Ages here: As we age, it becomes more difficult to maintain our home. Yet, over 90% of Salem seniors say they want to remain in their home with some level of independence. We want to help them be able to do just that and I am writing to invite you to join us in that effort. Later this month we will launch www.salemforallages.org, a comprehensive guide to aging in Salem and all of the resources and services available to seniors, soon-to-be-seniors, and the adult children or caregivers of seniors. A key part of the new website is a listing of local businesses that provide service that can help seniors age in their home safely and comfortably. I am writing to invite you to add your business to that list. If you would like to be added to this list, please fill out the enclosed form and return it to my office (Office of the Mayor, ATT: Salem for All Ages, 93 Washington Street, Salem MA 01970 or email to [EMAIL REDACTED]). Please indicate if you would be willing to provide any discounts or specials for seniors and verify that you have all required licenses and insurance. I hope you will be a partner with us in this new initiative. Salem is a community that welcomes everyone, regardless of their age or their ability. We view this new online directory as a key step in achieving this ongoing goal.
