We are asking the community to assist in making homemade cards to include with their meal. Please drop off cards at the Community Life Center by Friday, November 22nd. Create these whimsical rustic pears out of light bulbs and twine. The setting for this class is the beautiful Forest River Function Room. We will be providing some breakfast treats so feel free to bring your coffee along! Saturday, November 2 10:00am –12:00pm $25.00 per person includes supplies and breakfast treats. Register at salemma.myrec.com Zumba with Alejandro The Salem Council on Aging is thrilled to be offering a free Zumba class to Salem Seniors on Thursdays from 9:30-10:30am at Espacio, 105 Congress St. This class will begin on Thursday, November 7th. Please contact Rosanna at [PHONE REDACTED] to register. What fun we had at the an- nual Haunted Happenings Parade! Calligraphy for Beginners Calligraphy is a visual art related to writing. In this four week class, partici- pants will use a calligraphy pen and learn basic strokes. Tuesday, November 5th— November 26th 6:00-7:00pm $35.00 per person, includes all supplies. Register at salemma.myrec.com Cardio Boxing and Kickboxing Build the foundations of kickboxing with a circuit style workout that will improve balance and coordination. No experience necessary. Participants will need to bring their own pair of boxing gloves or mitts. Tuesdays, November 5th—November 26th 5:30-6:15pm $70.00 per person for the session, or pay a drop in rate of $20.00. Salem Council on Aging Visit to Maple Street Bistro 11/12/24 Members of the Salem Council on Aging will have the opportunity to have lunch at the Maple Street Bistro at Essex Tech. The Bistro allows students from the school the opportunity to run a full functioning restaurant. Students are involved with the prepping of food, cooking, serving , interacting with guests and clean –up. $20.00 per person. Includes lunch and transportation. Seats are limited, so register soon. After School Crafts with Lane—Holiday Themed Crafts Children ages 5-9 are invited to join our Arts and Crafts Instructor, Lane, for an afternoon of fun crafts.
