CITY OF SALEM TAX CLASSIFICATION PUBLIC HEARING THURSDAY, DECEMBER 5, 2024 AT 7:00 P.M. Notice is hereby given that in accordance with Section 56 of Chapter 40 of the Massachusetts General Laws, the City Council of the City of Salem will conduct a Public Hearing on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 7:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 93 Washington Street, 2nd floor on the issue of allocating the local property tax levy among the four property classes for the fiscal year of 2025, and the residential, open space, and small commercial exemption options. The Tax Rate Classification will be part of the City Council Regular Meeting. In-Person shall be the primary method of public access to such meetings. A secondary method of public access may be provided, if technologically feasible through Salem Access Television and/or remotely through zoom. The zoom link and SATV information will be available once the agenda is posted to the website on December 3, 2024. ALL INTERESTED CITIZENS MAY PARTICIPATE.
