Levesque Community Life Center Speaker Series 7:00-8:00pm 9/13: A conversation with the Peabody Essex Museum’s Executive Director and CEO Lynda Roscoe Hartigan. 9/27: Because none of us lives forever, “Decision Day” says Norene Comito Gachignard, is a discussion we MUST have with our family. 10/4: John D. Keenan, President of Salem State University, will discuss the future of higher education and the role of SSU. 10/11: Join award winning local poet, January Gil O’Neill as she reads from her work and discusses how poetry is created from our daily lives. Kids Bike Safety Series Kids 6-10 Saturday, September 17th and Sunday, September 18th from 10:00-11:00am. For this on-bike series for kids, Mass Bike will cover the basics of safe riding skills in our closed off/ traffic free parking lot. For advanced riders, they’ll suggest a course to ride on bike lanes and paths in Salem. This is a free program for Salem children. Space is limited. Special thanks to members of the Salem Police Department for joining in on the fun! Officer Derby was a big hit! Salem Witch Museum Tour Seniors are welcome to join us on Monday, September 12th for a visit to the Salem Witch Museum. We will be leaving the COA at 9:00am and return at 11:00am. Dr. Larissa Lucas will be our special guest. Participants can walk at their own pace and take breaks at any time. Please register with Rosanna. This program is co-sponsored by the Salem Board of Health & the Salem Council on Aging. Coach KC’s Tball Time—ages 4-6 A great introduction to the game of baseball for younger children. Children will need to bring their own glove. All other equipment provided. Thursdays, September 8th—October 13th 5-6pm at Furlong Park $90.00 per child, $45.00 for additional sibling.
