CITY OF SALEM First Passage In the year two thousand and twenty-one An Ordinance to amend an Ordinance relative to Traffic, Ch. 42 Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Salem, as follows: Section 1. Section 51 of Article V be amended by repealing the following: Ocean Avenue - Parking Prohibited on Certain Streets - northeasterly side from a point opposite the northwesterly line of Shore Avenue to the property line at the end of Ocean Avenue adjacent to the southerly branch of Shore Avenue. (5/3/79 DPW 5-1604) And replacing it with: Shore Avenue - Parking Prohibited on Certain Streets - both sides from the end of Ocean Avenue to the south easterly branch of Shore Avenue. Section 2. Section 51B of Article V be amended by repealing the following: Ocean Avenue - Parking Prohibited at Certain Times on Certain Streets - northeasterly side from a point opposite the northwesterly line of Shore Avenue to the property line at the end of Ocean Avenue adjacent to the southerly branch of Shore Avenue, Sundays and holidays, 9:00 A. M. to 4:00 P. M. June 1 to September 30. (5/23/61 DPW 10652) Ocean Avenue - Parking Prohibited at Certain Times on Certain Streets - southerly side from Linden Street to Cliff Street, Sundays and holidays, 9:00 A. M. to 4:00 P. M. June 1 to September 30. (7/8/75 DPW 5-1041) Section 3. Section 75 of Article V-A be amended by repealing the following: Ocean Avenue - Parking Prohibitions Towing Zone (Resident Sticker) - ZONE E-COLOR ORANGE-both sides, in an easterly direction, from Lafayette Street to Summit Avenue (excluding Handicapped Zone) twenty-four (24) hours a day seven days a week. (7/10/91) And replacing it with: Ocean Avenue - Parking Prohibitions Towing Zone (Resident Sticker) - Zone E - Color Orange - both sides in an easterly direction from Lafayette Street to Shore Avenue. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect as provided by City Charter.
