Babysitting Training This training will help prepare young teens, ages 11-17, to be a more responsible babysitter. The course will cover diapering and feeding techniques, handling bedtime issues, basic first aid and much more! Participants will brush up on cooking basics, build culinary skills, and have fun in the kitchen. Once the cooking is complete, the group will dine together. Thursday, November 17th 3:30-4:30pm $5.00 per person Register in advance at salemrec.com The Annual Thanksgiving Dinner for Salem Seniors at Salem High School will be held on Thursday, November 17th. Each year, students in the Culinary Arts Program prepare and serve this special and delicious meal. Tickets for Salem residents are available on October 11th. This is a free event, but you MUST register with Rosanna. Entertainment will be provided by the SHS Chorus and our own Goldentones. We are most grateful to the staff and students at Salem High for hosting this each year. Love the Halloween shirts at the COA! We had a great time riding the trolley in the Haunted Happening Parade. A new session of Barre will begin on Tuesday, October 25th . This is a 6 week session that will conclude on November 29th. The class meets from 6:00-7:00 pm each Tuesday. Cost is $75.00 for the six week session, or $15.00 for a drop in rate. A Night of Holiday Cheer Come join us as we paint glass ornaments and drinking glasses for the holiday season. Seasonal music and a roaring fireplace will help set the mood. Adults only Monday, December 5th 6:00-8:30 pm Winter Island Function Hall $30.00 per person includes the paints, painting supplies, a glass ornament, wine, beer and soft drinks. Save the date!
