Salem Park, Recreation and Community Services October 2018 The staff of Salem Park, Recreation and Community Services welcomes you to our new building! Haunted Happenings Grand Parade Thursday, October 4th Members of the Council on Aging are invited to participate in this years parade. Come in costume and ride in the trolley. Space is limited, so sign up early with Rosanna. We will meet at 401 Bridge St. at 5:00 and the parade begins at 6:30pm. Junior Art Class Local artist and educator, James Eric Rogers, invites students ages 6-12 to 4 weeks of art classes at the Community Life Center. One large final painting composition will be completed as well as several smaller pieces. Thursdays, 5:00-6:15pm October 11th—November 1st The cost is $50 for the session. Learn about the latest travel trends, luggage issues, how to secure a passport and so much more! Tuesday, October 23rd 6:00-7:00pm Salem Community Life Center 401 Bridge St. Council on Aging Pizza Party Come enjoy a night of lively music and dancing. Dinner menu is salad, pizza and homemade dessert. Thursday, October 11th 4:00pm $10.00 per person. Family Halloween Dance Join us for our 1st Family Halloween Dance. Come in costume and dance to a DJ. Prizes awarded for costume categories: Most Unique, Scariest and Prettiest. All children must be accompanied by an adult. A beautiful night for our Fire Pit Pop-Up Beginner’s Mahjong Monday, October 15th 6:00-7:30pm Community Life Center 401 Bridge St. This tile based game has become very popular with participants at the Salem Council on Aging, and some of our players have volunteered to teach and have the opportunity to play with others.
