City of Salem First Passage In the year Two Thousand and Twenty-Two An Ordinance to expand the safety enhancement zone. Section 1. Section 1-11 of the Code of Ordinances is amended by replacing definitions in its entirety with the following: “Safety enhancement zone is defined as the B-5 Central Business District of the City of Salem’s Zoning Ordinance and all areas of the city up to and including one mile from the border of the B-5 Central Business District.” Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect as provided by City Charter.
