City of Salem First Passage In the year two thousand and twenty An Ordinance providing for auxiliary aids and services for effective communication or reasonable modifications for accessibility in public meetings. Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Salem, as follows: Section 1. Chapter 2 is hereby amended by adding the following at the end of section 2-2028(e): “Persons requiring auxiliary aids and services for effective communication such as sign language interpreter, an assistive listening device, or print material in digital format or a reasonable modification in programs, services, policies, or activities, may contact the City of Salem ADA Coordinator as soon as possible and no less than 2 business days before the meeting, program, or event.” Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect as provided by City Charter.
