CITY OF SALEM, MASSACHUSETTS Dominick Pangallo Mayor 2025 City of Salem Parking Garage Reserved Space Application Completed application must be submitted to the Parking Office, 1 New Liberty Street Salem MA 01970 OR emailed to asullaway(@salem.com, no later than noon on Thursday, December 5, 2024. Only one application per person will be accepted and only one space will be available per application. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. If more than 40 applications are received for spaces in the Museum Place garage or more than 25 applications are received for spaces in the South Harbor garage, a lottery will be held to randomly draw the successful applicants for those garages. If necessary, the lottery will take via Zoom with details to follow. Successful applicants must make payment by cash, money order, or bank check by noon, Tuesday December 17, 2024 or their pennit will be offered to the next drawn name. Garage spaces are $2,000.00 per year per space in both garages. If no lottery is held, but payment is not made by the required date, the space and pennit will be made available for any other applicant. Successful applicants wiJl be required to sign a legal waiver acknowledging the regulations of the program, prior to receiving their reserved space hang tag. Vehicles parked in the reserved space without the appropriate hang tag will be towed at the vehicle owner's expense. Commercial use of the reserved space, including subleasing or renting the space or using it for a commercial purpose, shall be grounds for revocation of the permit. Should necessary garage maintenance or construction make the reserved space inaccessible at any point, the hang tag shall allow for access to and from the same garage, but shall not guarantee any other specific parking space in the garage. If you are required to buy a garage pass as part of a deed or other legal document, the reserved space permit and hang tag wiU replace the non-reserved garage pass for the period that the reserve space program is in effect. Those who receive a reserved parking space and who have already paid for parking in the garage through their condo association will be credited the balance of those charges. Permits and hang tags are good through December 31, 2025, at which point they will expire.
