Pilates Returns to the COA The Wednesday Pilates class took a break for a few months, but it is back! Join us on Wednesday, April 12th at 1:00 for a complimentary class. This will give you the opportunity to experience the many benefits of this exercise class. Beginning in May, we will be offering Pilates on a pre paid session basis. The 5 week May session will cost $15.00 per person. See Rosanna to register Looking for something cool to do this spring break? Local artist and science educator, James Eric Rogers, invites students, ages 6-12 to “ Spring Break– Junior Artist and Scientist Club”. Date: Tuesday, April 18th from 12:00-4:00pm Place: Salem Community Center, 5 Broad St. Price: $35.00 per person Register at salemrec.com Celebrating Volunteers On Thursday, April 27th, we will pay tribute to all who volunteer at Salem Park, Recreation and Community Services. We have over 130 volunteers who assist at the Council on Aging, Winter Island, the golf course and at Park and Recreation Programs. We couldn’t do it without you! We appreciate your service to the City of Salem. Winter Island Bingo is back! The Council on Aging will be hosting a bingo game on Wednesday, April 12th at the Winter Island Function Hall. Bingo begins at 10:30. $6.00 per person, includes lunch. Kids Can Cook—Learn the Basics! Sign up early! The February class was full. Ages: 8-17 Date: Thursday, April 20th 5:00-7:00 pm Place: Ferreira Foods, 211 Bridge St. Price: $55.00 per person Learn to Knit Members of the Salem Council on Aging Knitting Group will be leading an instructional class for children ages 9-12. Out seniors will be sharing their talents teaching basic knitting skills. Pre registration is required at salemrec.com Ages: 9-12 Date: Tuesday, April 18th—Friday, April 21st.
