Salem Park, Recreation and Community Services August 2024 The 19th Annual Derby Street Mile will be held on Friday, August 16th. This family friendly event is one of our favorites! The Competitive Race begins at 7:00pm followed by the Family Fun Run. Tee shirts for the first 100 registrants. Seniors 65 and older who are in need of a Charlie Card for the MBTA. You must bring a valid, state issued photo ID that includes date of birth. Thursday, August 5th and 22nd 10:45-11:15am Kids Introduction to Boxing—August Session Rob Ovalle, a professional martial artist, will offer a secure environment for children ages 7-12 to develop their boxing skills. This class aims to boost confidence, improve balance, enhance sensory skills and foster teamwork. Children need to bring their own set of boxing gloves.
