EFFECTIVE DATE: 2/1/2024 Side Sewer Contractor Roster Permitting Requirements Development Engineering The Side Sewer Roster was established and is maintained by the Development Engineering Division. It is a list of side sewer contractors who have met the eligibility requirements and are authorized to perform side sewer work within the City of Redmond. ELIGABILITY REQUIREMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS Side Sewer License Fee City of Redmond Business License A copy of the Washington State Contractor’s license. A $500,000 Liability Insurance Certificate, City of Redmond listed as additional insured A $5,000 Cash or Surety bond approved by the City. (Redmond Bond Forms Only) The applicant must submit an application with the Development Services Center and pay the side sewer roster fee. Once approved, the applicant is placed on the Active Side Sewer Contractor Roster. The roster is valid from January 1st to December 31st. Applicants must keep the above requirements current to remain on the roster. Roster renewal application packets are processed at the beginning of each year. The renewal window runs to Janu- ary 31st. Application packets received after January 31st will be processed as a “new” application. PERMITTING Any side sewer work performed within the City of Redmond must be done with a permit. Permits are processed and sold by the Development Engineering Division. Information can be found online at: Utility Permit I Redmond, WA VIOLATIONS It is a violation of Redmond Municipal Code for any individual to make any connection to any public sewer, to construct, alter or repair any private sewer unless that individual is and approved contractor on the approved Side Sewer Contractor Roster. A contractor may be removed for the Side Sewer Contractor Roster for any of the following causes: failure to observe the laws and regulations of the City; failure to pay for labor or material used for construction of a side sewer; fraud or misrepresentation to the owner, agent or occupant of a building for the purpose of obtaining a contract for the construction of a side sewer; or for nonpayment for work performed by the City of which a side sew- er contractor may be liable.
