i Staff redline COR BelRed Family Resource Center Code Of Conducti and Community Agreement Desired Results: Safety, Cooperation, and Flexibility The community within and outside the BelRed Family Resource Center should be a safe place for everyone. Each guest is expected to do their part to maintain that safety, including maintaining respectful relationships with our neighbors, law enforcement, business owners, community leaders, and staff. Each guest must provide valid ID for intake. Guidelines: Non-negotiable guidelines upon entering into the community. Accountability: Every guest is accountable for their own actions. They are also responsible for helping maintain a safe environment within the shelter community. Any of these actions (1-3) will result in immediate exit from shelter: 1. Drugs and alcohol are not permitted on property (including church parking lot) or in the surrounding neighborhood. Staff reserves the right to search guest belongings if they see evidence of a safety concern. 2. No aggressive behavior toward self, staff, volunteers, or other guests, including verbal or physical threats. No weapons, open flame, or smoking indoors. 3. No stealing or disrespecting the property or personal space of others. Every guest is expected to abide by the following guidelines: 4. is offering emergency shelter on a temporary basis. Shelter stay is expected to be 30-60 days long, during which time staff will work with each guest to transition into a stable housing environment. 5. For the safety of the women at the shelter, men are not allowed on the property except for pre-screened staff and volunteers. The facility is only for women and children. Meeting family members or friends at including the Creekside Covenant Church parking lot, is not allowed for any reason. Meeting family members or friends must take place in other public spaces away from 6. Loitering is not allowed. When leaving you must leave the area and may not loiter in neighborhood areas. 7. Children must remain with their mother (or legal guardian) at all times. Physical discipline is not allowed, and staff are required by law to make a report to Child Protective Services if abuse or neglect of a child is suspected. 8. Guests must return to shelter by 9 p.m. Guests are expected to be in shelter each night; up to 3 nights out a month will be allowed provided that staff are notified ahead of time. 9. Guests are expected to help maintain the cleanliness and daily functions of the shelter by assisting with daily chores and appropriately storing personal belongings. Space for belongings is limited, and all belongings must fit in the storage space designated by shelter staff. 10. All guests (adults and children) must maintain a safe and sober mental state. If staff feel you have become a threat to yourself, guests, staff or others, you will be “exited” (asked to leave property and not access service for a set amount of time). 911 will be called if needed. will utilize all resources to safely exit guests from the neighborhood, as needed. 11. Pets are not allowed at 12. Smoking is only allowed in a designated area on property and is not permitted on the street, on Creekside Covenant Church property, including parking lot, or in front of the shelter. Consequences: Guests are to maintain this agreement at all times. Non-compliance with this Community Agreement will result in an exit from services. Non-compliance with this Community Agreement will be subject to an exit from property and services. The length of the exit will be determined by staff based on the nature of the situation, and a permanent exit may be issued. Exits will not be lifted until the guest meets with the Supervisor or approved staff, and reaches a satisfactory agreement resulting in a redirection of behavior. Exits pertain to BelRed Family Resource Center daytime and overnight services. I, hereby agree to the community agreement above, and upon signature will follow all policies of the Bel-Red Family Resource Center. Non-compliance with Community Agreement will be subject to an exit from property and services. This Community Agreement will be enforced by BelRed Family Resource Center Staff.
