Staff will provide a brief overview of the Technical Committee’s recommendation and Commissioners will continue identifying and discussing issues concerning the recommended amendments. BACKGROUND The Planning Commission started its review on November 28, 2018 of the Technical Committee’s recommended RZC and RMC amendments. The amendment package comprises 29 individual amendments, covering five types of minor corrections: 1. Addressing clarity and accuracy of the code; 2. Correcting and restoring references to other section of the code; 3. Correcting inadvertent omissions of code; 4. Repairing errors and providing updates for accuracy to maps within the code; and 5. Incorporating direction of non-substantive administrative interpretations authorized by RZC 21.76.100.D. PREPARATION FOR DECEMBER 12 STUDY SESSION Please continue reviewing and identifying questions and discussion issues regarding the Technical Committee Report and exhibits, provided in your November 16, 2018 meeting packet. At your November 28 meeting, Commissioner Miller asked staff to provide information regarding Administrative Interpretations, relating to a few of the recommended amendments. REVIEW SCHEDULE The Planning Commission will continue reviewing the amendment package at a study session on January 9, 2018 and may make a recommendation on this proposal. City Council’s review and action would follow during the first quarter of 2019.
