Redmond Parks and Recreation Fee Assistance Program Information Thank you for choosing the City of Redmond Parks and Recreation Department. Our desire is to make recrea- tional opportunities available to all Redmond residents regardless of income. APPLICATION PROCESS AND DETAILS • Applicants who meet eligibility requirements are awarded up to a maximum of $1,000 per person, per year. Fee assistance is awarded to those specified on the application. • Funds are applied to reduce activities fees only. Funds cannot be applied to adult sports leagues, rentals, extra supply and material fees, or private lessons. • Funds can only be applied to activities taking place in the current calendar year. Applicants must reapply each calendar year. • Completed applications can be submitted via email to [EMAIL REDACTED] or in person at: • Redmond Community Center at Marymoor Village (6505 176th Ave NE) • City Hall (15670 NE 85th St) • Redmond Senior & Community Center (8703 160th Ave NE) • Old Firehouse Teen Center (16510 NE 79th St) ELIGIBILITY This program is available to all who meet residence and income eligibility as stated below. Residency Eligibility Fee Assistance is only available to Redmond residents living in the 98052 ZIP code. Income Eligibility Eligibility is based on household income and household size using the below chart Households who fall into the 50% category receive a 50% reduction in activity fees, not to exceed $1,000 per year per individual. Households who fall into the 70% category receive a 70% reduction in activity fees, not to exceed $1,000 per year per individual. Households who fall into the 90% category receive a 90% reduction in activity fees, not to exceed $1,000 per year per individual. Proof of Eligibility All applicants are required to provide proof of residency and income. Acceptable documents show income (yearly or pay period) and address (does not have to be same document). Examples of accepted documents include, but are not limited to: • Most recent tax return (1094c), W2, or Paystub • DSHS Statement or award • Social Security Benefits statement (1099/1042S) • Utility billing If you require an exception, please complete the form along with a written and signed personal statement explaining your circumstances and the exception needed. If applying for a household with a foster child, you may include the foster child in the total household size. Total Household Income: HOUSEHOLD INCOME is the sum total income before taxes of all household members. This include wages, social security, pen- sion, unemployment, welfare, child support, alimony and any other cash income.
