Surface Being Cleaned Wash Wastewater Disposal Requirement Other Requirements/Suggestions All surfaces cleaned using corrosives, or other harmful chemicals, or that may have hazardous materials (e.g. lead paint) on it • NO DISCHARGE TO STORM DRAINS • Wash wastewater must be contained collected and recovered for approved off-site disposal Disposal of wastewater containing hazardous substances must be appropriately documented (retain disposal receipts) • Parking lots • Roadways • Driveways • Drive-thrus • Loading docks • Dumpster & Compactor Areas • Any other potentially polluted surfaces • NO DISCHARGE TO STORM DRAINS • Discharge to sanitary sewer equipped with pretreatment device (oil/water separator, interceptor, filters, etc.) or collected for approved off-site disposal.
